"When you have found it, you should stick to it." ~Audrey Hepburn

Everyone always tells me to stick to things. Even Audrey said it sometime in her life. In fact, that is one of her best quotes. I just started a new dance class. I've always dreamed of being a dancer, and as you don't know, I just moved far away from my old home. I am now in a new place, and I have to make new friends. I thought joining a dance class would help me get started. I started a new dance class, actually 3 new ones, and I must admit that I am struggling. I have been dancing since I was 2, and I was ready to go into pointe. I guess I was extremely wrong. I just started working on my pieroutte, and they are working on their pieroutte in second place. WOW... who knew these girls could be so good. Ofcourse, the though of quitting came to mind. Most people have this thought when they are struggling. I will not let that voice inside of my head keep me down. Audrey has convinced me to keep going and to never give up. I will stay in this class until my feet bleed if I have to! I will learn everything I need to learn and I will stick with it, as Audrey says! It may take me a little longer, but I will never give up. And to think, I thought I would have trouble making friends, not dancing. That is actually upside down. I made a ton of friends, it was the dancing that troubled me. I will do my best, and I will update you as soon as possible!

My Dearest Lovely,
It is truly the journey not the destination that is important!! The sense of accomplishment resulting from the mastery of the subject, indeed is more important than the test score. You have always set your goals and in the end you are the winner..To be the same today, tommorrow and forever, that was the beauty of Audrey, which that in itself would be the gold thread that borders..A beautiful dream.. You are definitely my "gold thread" and I know you will keep going and outdo the other girls in your dance..Life does take different turns, no matter you will succeed..Remember my love for you and hopes of seeing my dear one on Broadway one day..Your Nana

Nana,

Thanks for the lovely comment. You are entirely correct. Audrey never changed, and she acted as if she was a normal person. The fact of the matter is, she just wasn't. She was an angel sent from above, always and forever. She treated her kids like any other mother would do, and she never watched her own movies. Truly, she felt that in the morning we all put our pants on the same way. That was the beauty of her... always and forever. I love you Nana!

Audrey was one of the few women in this world that I would have chosen for you to pattern as you grew into a young lady. I have always loved her and thought she was one of the most graceful, kind, talented, beautiful, clean & pure hearted, and caring people on the entire continent..Everything undertaken by her was complete, whether it was as a nurse in War & Peace or the role she played in Funny Face..So my Dearest, if you are as stern in your ambitions as she, Lordy, Lordy we will be watching you on every channel and Broadway..Of course, in my heart and eyes, you have always been on Broadway and I couldn't be prouder of you..I love you so very much..
Your Nana

I couldn't agree more. If we could have more people in this world like Audrey, the world might be a better place. She had such poise and kindess in her heart, no one could ever defy her. I hope to be up there one day. Who knows? I could take an entirely different path. But, one thing I know for sure, is that I would have as much drive as Audrey had. She wanted to become a ballet dancer, but they told her she was too tall. She never gave up, and in the end, she took an entirely different path. She became an actress, and look how good she was. I hope to be as wonderful as Audrey is one day, and you need not worry. I will always try my hardest, just as she did.
